In his more than 35 years in equipment finance and leasing, Alan has witnessed the extensive scale of its development and change and has built a distinguished career in sales aid and vendor finance. He assists finance companies and equipment vendors with strategy, acquisitions and the development of customer financing programmes in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Alan was Finance Director and then Managing Director at Anglo Leasing, a leading independent UK sales-aid lessor. During 25 years’ service, Anglo’s profits grew steadily; it achieved a full public listing on the London Stock Exchange and the first AAA-rated securitisation for small-ticket leases in the UK.

Subsequently, Alan founded a consulting firm, Bavelaw Associates Ltd in 1997 and focused on developing his international experience and network of contacts in Europe, the US, Australia and Asia. Alan joined Alta in 2003.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
