George L. Lehnertz

George L. Lehnertz brings to the Alta Group extensive executive experience with vendor and captive finance services, domestic and international financial institutions, and industry mergers and acquisitions. He has helped develop, build and manage profitable business operations; purchase, sell, and integrate companies; and create successful business teams.

Based in Chicago, Lehnertz served from 2004 to 2007 as Managing Director of Banc of America Leasing’s Global Vendor Finance unit. He was responsible for integrating Bank of America and FleetBoston’s Vendor Finance organizations which became the largest bank-owned vendor finance operation in the United States.

Prior to Bank of America’s acquisition of FleetBoston, he was Managing Director/CEO of the Specialized Financial Services unit of Fleet Capital, where he integrated Sanwa Business Credit Corporation and its business lines into the FleetBoston organization.

Earlier in his career he advanced professionally at Sanwa Business Credit Corporation (formerly Continental Illinois Leasing Corp.) becoming senior vice president of vendor finance, and ultimately, executive vice president/CFO of the company. Prior to his years at Sanwa, Lehnertz worked at Leaseamerica Corporation and Commercial Credit Equipment Corporation.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
