Paul W. Frechette
Paul W. Frechette, managing director of The Alta Group’s vendor and captive finance practice, has worked in the equipment leasing and commercial finance industries for more than three decades. He has deep expertise in vendor and captive finance programs in North America and globally. Prior to joining Alta, he was executive vice president at EverBank Commercial Finance (formerly Tygris Commercial Finance), part of the management team responsible for the growth of its vendor finance business. Paul’s expertise in the information technology sector includes the position of corporate vice president and chief operating officer of Sun Microsystems Global Financial Services. He also was president of Key Equipment Finance’s commercial leasing services group, responsible for direct sales, leveraged leasing, corporate aircraft financing and capital market activities. Additionally, he held corporate management positions with Heller Financial, Fleet Credit and U.S. Leasing International.
His accomplished career in vendor and captive finance includes a focus on strategic and financial planning, tactical execution, quality controls, organizational leadership and hands-on client development activities on a global basis. In addition, he counsels Alta clients on building new markets, driving revenue growth and improving market positioning. Clients also leverage Paul’s deep experience in business expansion through new vendor relationships and mergers and acquisitions.
Paul is an active member of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association (ELFA), where he previously chaired its Vendor Programs Business Council Steering Committee. He currently is vice chairman of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, he is an advisory board member for the institution’s business school.
