Valerie Pagliaro is a director at The Alta Group who is active in strategic financial planning and corporate acquisitions. She spent 25 years at GE Capital and its subsidiaries, where she held leadership roles in a variety of business units in the U.S. and Europe.
Her experience includes direct lending, vendor and captive finance and acquisitions and dispositions. Valerie’s responsibilities have ranged from pricing analysis to new business model creation and implementation, complex negotiations and cross-border acquisitions and portfolio dispositions while in Europe.
Valerie began at GE Capital in 1991 as a financial analyst. Within a few years, she gained a position in GE Capital Auto Financial Services, based in London, where she served with a cross-functional team negotiating deals across Europe. In 2006, Valerie advanced to CFO for GE Capital’s Vendor Finance business. A year later, she became CFO of GE Capital’s Core Equipment Financing Solutions, a direct equipment leasing division.
For seven years, before GE began exiting the asset financing industry in 2016, Valerie led a team of senior analysts who delivered critical pricing analytics and tools for 10 company operating platforms. As GE dissolved its financing subsidiary, Valerie provided expertise on the $35 billion disposition of GE Capital’s assets.
