Creation of best practices process guidelines

SITUATION

An independent commercial finance organization required expertise to examine existing risk and control processes and procedures, identify gaps to best practices, and draft a comprehensive process manual for implementation.

SOLUTION

The Alta Group worked with the client to identify critical processes for evaluation that would form the basis for a comprehensive operational review and detailed process manual. We identified areas that posed substantial risk/opportunity for the client and focused on those areas for evaluation. Next, we prepared a preliminary map of process activities based on industry best practices and then worked with the client to identify key gap areas. We closed out our engagement by developing the final requirements and manual as evergreen documents to support the client’s ongoing implementation goals.
