Anthony J. (Tony) Mynsted is a director of The Alta Group and provides consulting expertise with Alta’s Professional Development Practice. His consulting focus is on professional development, vendor programs, sales management mentoring, and strategic planning. Tony’s strong leadership experience and skills have been developed over 40 years with a top 100 Company.
The Alta Group Professional Development Practice is designed exclusively for the education and development of professionals working in equipment leasing and asset financing. Highlights of Tony’s work with Alta include developing and executing a professional development plan for a large client and facilitating a classroom rollout for over 1,500 sales representatives to learn how to integrate financing into their sales process. The program improved the financing attachment rate and drove incremental product sales.
In addition to professional development consulting, Tony partners with corporate clients to develop successful vendor programs. Recently, he participated in a worldwide consulting project that assisted a large technology company determine where and when they should implement captive leasing organizations.
Prior to joining Alta in 2006, Tony sold IBM Corporation products and solutions for 28 years, followed by 12 years working directly for IBM Global Financing (IGF). There, he was instrumental in developing and executing IGF’s Business Partner leasing program.
Tony was a co-author of ELFA’s report on leasing in the IT environment. He did his advanced studies in management, marketing and finance at Harvard, MIT and Columbia Universities and received a Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics and Finance from the University of Nevada.
