Large bank in Latin America requires valuation of its asset-based financing business
SITUATION
A large bank with an insurance company affiliation sought to expand its value proposition to cover asset-based financing and services. The client knows The Alta Group through our regional and global reputation and through prior executive relationships.
SOLUTION
Using its proprietary methodology of the Levers of Value of a Leasing Company, Alta deployed its local resources, international leasing and tax law, accounting and operational expertise to review the company. After gathering publicly available information plus resources available in the Data Room, Alta provided a comprehensive analysis of the existing business including a forward viewing perspective, portfolio evaluation, and analysis of residual management and service levels. Alta also provided perspective to the bank’s internal staff in credit risk management, taxes and accounting, as well as to the accounting company undertaking the accounting due diligence. Alta finalized an independent valuation based upon its unique expertise in the leasing business.
