SITUATION

A major shipbuilding company had just filed bankruptcy and required inspection and appraisal of its assets for use in bankruptcy court and possible stalking horse considerations.

SOLUTION

Alta appraisers inspected and appraised several thousand assets on a retail and wholesale basis. Expert was deposed and appraisal presented to federal bankruptcy court. Eventually, sale to stalking horse was consummated.
