Patricia Voorhees

Patricia M. Voorhees, a director at The Alta Group, has over 25 years of experience in commercial finance. Patricia brings people, strategies, and capital together to address market challenges and embrace opportunities through inclusive, ethical business models that create value in what matters. Her expertise focuses on forming captive financing companies, establishing vendor finance programs, and facilitating mergers and acquisitions within the commercial finance industry. Clients also benefit from her experience in B2B fintech, ESG, strategic pricing, business ethics, sales and marketing.

Patricia is a recognized industry expert. She was named one of Monitor Publishing’s 2020 top 50 women in the equipment finance industry and is a frequent conference speaker, guest lecturer, and author. Recent publication topics included the ESG Imperative, circular economy models and current equipment finance funding dynamics.

After launching her career at IBM, Voorhees was an executive at GE Capital from where she served in several key executive roles. In Patricia’s initial role as vice president for business development, she established more than a dozen new vendor and captive finance programs. In her subsequent role as managing director of business development for M&As, she managed acquisition originations for many deals ranging in value from $300MM-$3B. Later, she led the Office Imaging Finance, leading a small-ticket leasing business with $5.5 billion in assets and 450 employees. She also was GE Capital’s strategic pricing leader during the U.S. financial crisis. Prior to joining the Alta Group Patricia was founding principal and president of Verus Services Group, a consultancy serving the commercial finance and commercial real estate markets.

Patricia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Western Connecticut State University, and two Masters of Arts degrees from Fordham University, in education for peace and social justice, and ethics and society.
